Phulkari Organization:
Phulkari, established in 2017 in Amritsar, Punjab, is a leading women’s organization that aims to empower women’s participation in civil society, specifically in the cultural, economic, and social domains. With over 600 influential women from diverse professions in Amritsar and Jalandhar, Phulkari is considered a premier think tank, providing a platform for meaningful interaction and idea exchange. In its six years of existence, Phulkari has hosted numerous prominent speakers such as Mani Shankar Aiyar, Shabana Azmi, Shashi Tharoor, Prasoon Joshi, Deepti Naval, Sonal Mansingh, Nirmala Laxman to name a few.
Phulkari is engaged in several philanthropic programs including cancer awareness, education for the less privileged, environmental sensitization, etc. It is currently working towards making Punjab the 1st Cervical Cancer free state in India.
